Potential for Discolored Water

There was a fire on Ocean Boulevard last night which may cause discolored water in the system due to the water flow used for fighting the fire. As of this morning, the fire department is still actively utilizing water, so the system may remain stirred up for a while. It should settle down by this afternoon. It usually takes several hours for the system to clear. If you experience cloudy water, if possible, we suggest you wait until later in the day to use water. At that time you can run an outside spigot to flush your plumbing until it clears. This is generally just iron sediment that gets stirred up by the high flow of water use.
