Water Supply Update

Today's update from the Rye Water District follows the message to our customers last Monday about the hot and dry conditions. Those conditions continued throughout the week and the weekend. Though the weather has been lovely, the dry conditions are impacting water systems, with high customer water demands and little recharge to wells from rainfall. The water district is currently meeting those demands, so we are not implementing water restrictions yet. However, if demands increase such that we aren't able to keep up we will have to impose some type of restrictions. In the meantime, please refrain from excessive watering so that you can do your part in helping us meet water supply needs.
