Rye NH: Water Operator

Job description: The Rye Water District is now accepting applications for a full time Water Operator position. This position performs a variety of duties relating to the operation of a .3 MGD water system, including sample collection, system flushing, meter reading, system repair and maintenance, data entry, etc. Individual will also communicate and assist with both Superintendent and District Business Manager relating to technical, financial, and field operations of the District. Basic computer skills, hand/power tool skills and light equipment operation knowledge a necessity. Will be working on many occasions with the public served and will also be required to be on call for emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications:  High School diploma, valid NH driver’s license, pass a criminal background check. Ability to obtain NH Grade 1 Distribution and Grade 1 Treatment license, NEWWA Back Flow Tester’s license. Perform manual labor, snow plowing and logical decision making.

Compensation: Salary range dependent upon experience $47,000-57,000. NH Retirement. Health, Dental, Life and Disability Insurance. Paid Holidays, Vacation and Sick time.
